Gerona

Gerona is such a lovely place to visit whilst in Spain. It's a about an hour north of Barcelona and about an hour south of France. It's got some very nice cathedrals and some lovely little narrow streets in some areas.

I happened to be there for the 2011 rugby world cup game between Ireland - Italy and luckily enough I found an Irish bar called McKiernans bar and restaurant which had opened up especially for the match at 9:00am. Dan the barman was nice enough to sort us out with a bit of breakfast jury the match :)) !!

Gerona is in Catalonia and is spelled Girona in catalan.

What a fantastic evening

What great weather there has been lately in Los Alcazares. This photo was taken not so long ago right on the beach when we went out for a stroll.

As you can see not a cloud in the sky !! Spring has arrived so let's see how the weather will be over the next few weeks !!
